Now baseball fans get to decide which will be the next season produced for the Pine Tar Baseball game. Select on of the teams listed below. It has been pointed out that there are better Negro League seasons to replay than 1937. If the 1937 Negro League wins all voting, I will start a mini poll that only has Negro League selections. Then that poll would determine the final outcome.
This poll will run until August 21, 2015. To learn more about Pine Tar Baseball go to the main site.
The 1973 season for Pine Tar baseball will be featured in a Kickstarter campaign that will begin on Jun 22, 2015. Please subscribe to our newsletter to receive updates for the upcoming 1973 campaign. 1973 will be 5th season released for the game and will contain all 24 teams from that year in full color.
In mid June, Life is Sport Games will be launching a crowdfunding campaign for the 1897 baseball season. This season set will be for the Pine Tar Baseball tabletop game. An actual start date and details for the campaign will be posted as they are finalized.
The 1884 season was gone out to the printer and will be shipped to all the backers of that project in the next 2 to 3 weeks. Thanks again to all the supports of the 1884 season. That season won't be available to the general public until all shipments have gone out to backers.
The Kickstarter campaign update can be viewed here. The campaign itself is here. Thanks to all of our supporters so far, Pine Tar Baseball is funded and has reached its 1st stretch goal. As a result, the Saint Louis Maroons will be added to the game. They were the top Union Association team in 1884.
Please also check out our home page to see how the stats for Old Hoss Radbourn will appear for the Providence Grays. I'll try to get more updates posted in between working on the teams.
Please click the link to see the campaign. Its running for 30 days and will end on May 20, 2015. Backing LISG on this project would help us bring the 1884 season to life with the same quality as our previously released 1889 set.
Support at any of the 4 levels would be greatly appreciated.
As title says the 1889 PDF version for Pine Tar is now available. Price is listed at $5.89. Entering code '25%OFF' during checkout will give you an additional 25% on this PDF, as well as any other products purchased through April 30, 2015.
My apologies for not getting the PDF version out earlier. I've had folks from the UK, Ireland and Finland add either the hard copy game or baseball seasons to their cart, but the shipping cost is often twice as much as the actual game when going overseas. The PDF format is delivered via email, so no shipping costs. Hopefully this makes the game more accessible.
You can get a free PDF copy of the actual Pine Tar game here Pine Tar Game Rules on PDF (for personal use only please)
The 2014 season is also available electronically. 2014 season PDF
Life is Sports Games is having its grand opening sale. Enter code "25%OFF" (without quotes) in the checkout code window and receive 25% off your purchase. The Discount code is valid the entire month of April, 2015.
A couple of new offerings from Life is Sport Games. The 1889 season for Pine Tar Baseball is now available. This includes all 16 teams from that year. Each team has 2 pages of players with roster sizes varying from 10 to 17 players. Most teams have 16 players. This set comes with conversion rules that allow an 1889 team to play a modern era team on a level playing field. There is also a brief 2 page history of baseball in the 1880's. The set features original logos by Pete Manzolillo of Jet Signs.
The Pine Tar game now comes in an 1889 edition that contains the game itself and the complete 1889 season set as described above.
Both of these items are currently 20% off for a limited time. Probably 2 weeks.
You can get replacement score cards for both Pine Tar and TTL Baseball games below. You may use these score cards for personal use, including real life ball games. All I ask is that these score cards not be redistributed in any way. The Pine Tar sheets are in color, while the TTL ones and in black and white.
I've created a table with key points that compare the features of these 2 baseball dice sims side by side. The link will take you to this table on Delphi forums. You may need to register to Delphi in order to view posts there. I'll work to get this table on a separate page on my website in the future.
